I’d forgotten how warm the office gets in summer:
thirty (or so) PCs sucking in souls and pumping out heat.
The winter has been so long and so hard and so cold:
there was a transition, for a while, when it was nice –
but now it’s just too hot again.
The lunchtime walk (and cool breeze) by the canal
remind me of how stifling it is when I walk back in:
outside there are still trees, there is still wind,
there is still water there is still – enticingly – shade.
But in here there are thirty (or so) PCs,
three hundred (or so) customers,
three thousand (or so) spec changes,
three million (or so) bugs
and one me and one keyboard.
The summer wears on.
